Both Sharks are looking for a little redemption after a hard fought double header at Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare, CA. The high-banked 1/3 mile showed some challenges for the 1a and 1s cars of Jacob Allen and Logan Schuchart.
The Drydene Performance Products, Duramax Oil, C&D Rigging #1s of Logan Schuchart fought back hard in both feature events passing a total of 16 cars between the two features. Friday night Logan qualified 20th and was able to finish 5th in his heat race giving him the 20th starting spot for the feature event. Logan drove to a 15th place finish. "Disappointed with how our weekend went. It's been awhile since we have been at Thunderbowl and just took too long to get the car where it needed to be. Saturday around feature time I think we finally figured it out but had to fight out of a pretty deep hole." said Logan on his weekend as a whole. Saturday unfortunately didn't start any better for the 1s qualifying 23rd overall. Logan finished 6th in his heat race lining him up in the 3rd position for the b-main. Logan was able to hold on for a 3rd place finish giving him the 23rd starting position for the feature. He was able to drive through the field to a 12th place finish for Saturday's A-main.
The Pells Tire Service, Newman's Racing Engines 1a of Jacob Allen showed a lot of speed right out of the gate for the weekend. Jacob qualified 12th on Friday night but fell to a 6th place finish in his heat race giving him the pole position for the nights B-main. Jacob finished 2nd landing him the 22nd starting position for the feature where he finished 24th. Saturday the 1a machine qualified 7th allowing Jacob to win his heat race and earn a spot in the nights Dash. Finishing 7th in the dash lined Jacob up on the inside of Row 4 for the feature event where he finished 16th.
