Shark Racing's Logan Schuchart and Jacob Allen head west to California after a strong weekend in Texas.
"Consistent weekend, we always want to win which is always our goal. But two top 5's at a track that we kinda struggled at in the past is nothing to hang our heads about" says the driver of the Drydene Performance Products, Duramax Oil, C&D Rigging number 1s of Logan Schuchart. Friday Night Logan was able to earn a dash spot finishing second in his heat setting him up for a 4th place starting spot in the feature. He was able to hold on and finish 4th for the feature event earning him his first top 5 of the year. Saturday the 1s qualified 12th and finished 4th in his heat race earning him the 12th starting spot for the nights feature event. Logan was able to drive through the field to 4th for a second top 5 finish and receiving the nights hard charger award.
The Pell's Tire Service, Newman's Racing Engines 1a of Jacob Allen was fast all weekend. Friday night Jacob earned himself his first fast time award of the year and won his heat race sending him to the dash. Jacob earned his second top ten of the year with an 8th place feature finish. Saturday Jacob earned his 4th dash appearance of the year with a heat race win. After an unfortunate starting incident Jacob was able to charge back through the field from the rear finishing 16th in the feature.
